Are you confident discussing gambling harms with the young people you work with?

Our course provides an introduction to gambling in the UK and gambling harms experienced by young people that are employed or NEET.

This course covers:

  • EWhat gambling harm looks like and how 18-25 year olds are particularly vulnerable to gambling harms.
  • EThe risks associated with young people that are NEET or in full time employment.
  • EHow to open up conversations around gambling harms.
  • EWhere to signpost support and treatment.
  • EHow to promote a positive, healthy lifestyle that could help prevent gambling harms.

Why should I complete the course?

Young people that are employed or NEET do not have the same pastoral support networks as those in education or training. They therefore often miss out on harm prevention education such as gambling education, drugs and alcohol.

Research also shows that 18-25 year olds are more vulnerable to gambling harms than any other age group.

Our course provides you with a foundation on gambling and gambling harms, and allows you to open up conversations about gambling with the young people you work with.

Our course is CPD accredited so also works towards your own continuous professional development.

How long does it take to complete?

Our course is split into short, bitesize modules and can be completed within 60 minutes. You must complete all parts of the course, including the mini-assessment points, in order to pass and receive your CPD certificate.
